About the Katherine Visitor Information Centre

The Katherine Visitor Information Centre

The Katherine Visitor Information Centre is owned and operated by Katherine Town Council, with funding support from Tourism NT.

Conveniently located at the southern end of Katherine, on the corner of the Stuart Highway and Lindsay Street, the Centre is an ideal first stop when exploring Katherine and the wider Big Rivers region.

As a fully accredited Visitor Information Centre, we provide current information about:

Local attractions and experiences

Tours and Ammodation

National Parks and swimming locations

Road and park closures

Events, facilities and visitor services

Travel throughout Katherine and the Northern Territory

Our friendly and knowledgeable team has firsthand experience of many attractions and destinations throughout the region. We are committed to providing helpful, relevant advice—and if we do not know the answer, we will do our best to find it for you.

The Centre also stocks a selection of postcards, souvenirs, artwork and gifts at affordable prices. Wherever possible, we source products from Northern Territory suppliers and First Nations artists.

Planning your trip in advance? We can provide visitor information to help you prepare for your journey and make the most of your time in Katherine and the surrounding region.
