Located 250km from Borroloola along the Savannah Highway, the camp provides direct access to some of the best fishing in the Northern Territory. As an Aboriginal-owned and operated business nestled along the stunning Limmen River and surrounded by unspoiled landscapes, guests can enjoy river views, diverse wildlife and birdwatching in a peaceful and secluded location.
Accommodation options include private cabins equipped with essential comforts and an outdoor basic kitchen, as well as powered and unpowered campsites perfect for caravans, campers and self-sufficient travellers. Guests have access to well-maintained ablution blocks with toilets and showers and fuel sales are available for travellers. 1. Booking and Payment
Payments can be made via credit or debit card, and bookings are only confirmed once payment is received. Guests will receive a confirmation email with their booking details.
2. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellations made more than 14 days before arrival are eligible for a full refund minus a processing fee, plus free modifications are permitted if made more than 14 days before arrival. No modifications are permitted within 14 days of arrival. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival and no-shows will not be refunded.
3. Guest Responsibilities
All guests must respect the land, staff, local culture, and wildlife. Disruptive behaviour, excessive noise, or failure to follow camp rules may result in immediate eviction without a refund. Guests are responsible for keeping their accommodation and camp area clean and must dispose of rubbish in designated bins or taken with them upon departure. Cutting down trees, disturbing wildlife, or leaving food waste that may attract animals is strictly prohibited.
4. Remote Location Acknowledgment
Limmen River Fishing Camp is in a remote area, 250km from Borroloola including unsealed roads. Guests acknowledge that there are no nearby medical facilities and must take necessary precautions, including carrying a well-stocked first aid kit. It is the guest’s responsibility to check road and weather conditions before travelling, as access may be affected by seasonal changes.
5. Facilities and Amenities
The camp offers private cabins with outdoor kitchens, powered and unpowered campsites, and well-maintained ablution block with toilets and showers. Fuel sales are available for travellers continuing their journey. Guests must use facilities responsibly and can report any maintenance issues to management.
6. Environmental Responsibility
To preserve the natural beauty of the camp, guests must minimise their impact on the environment. Rubbish must be disposed of in designated bins
