Brasserie style cuisine: Buffet breakfast and dinner during peak season, bistro style during quiet periods. Local produce served in an informal setting.

Galloping Jacks is located in the Ibis Katherine Resort, situated on the Stuart Highway, a short drive from Katherine.


Soup of the day: daily from fresh ingredients served with a slice of garlic bread

Crusty Turkish Bread: with olive oil, dukkha and fruit chutney

Burschetta: Tomato, feta and red onion salsa with olive oil on toasted garlic bread with balsamic glaze

Lemon Pepper Squid: imported squid served with salad and sweet chili sauce

Tomato and Lentil Curry: Indian spiced lentil curry served with yoghurt and naan bread

Korean Style Beef Skewers with slaw and steamed bun

Chicken Coxinhas: Fried dumpling filled with chicken, cream cheese and chorizo served with fresh salsa

Caesar salad: Cos lettuce, bacon, garlic crouton, parmesan cheese and house made Caesar dressing

Mediterranean Salad: Cucumber, tomato, olives, feta and red onion with balsamic drizzle with grilled sourdough

Asian Salad: tomato, cucumber, cabbage, red onion and soft boiled eggs with sesame dressing

Kangaroo burger with camembert cheese: Bush spiced kangaroo patty with grilled onion, beetroot, lettuce, tomato on brioche bun with chips

Fish and chips: Beer battered flathead, served with salad and house made tartar sauce

Prawn and chorizo fettuccine: With roast capsicum, red onion and tomato sauce with parmesan cheese

Herb and garlic grilled chicken breast: On roast potato, red onion, zucchini and green beans with creamy blue cheese sauce

House made baked spinach and feta gnocchi: Served with creamy mushroom sauce, salad leaves and parmesan cheese

Pork Schnitzel: Panko crumbed pork loin with salad or veggies and chips or mash and choice of your sauce

Sirloin Steak: Choice of sauce - peppercorn, mushroom, creamy blue cheese sauce or Béarnaise

Sides: steamed vegetables, chef salad fried or mash potato, beer battered onion rings, grilled prawns and sautéed mushroom

Milk rice arancini with cream anglaise, apple sauce with cinnamon sugar

Sundae with brownie and macadamia topping with chocolate sauce

Almond and chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and strawberry coulis

Pavlova: fresh fruit, vanilla ice ream and passion fruit drizzle.
