The history of our framing business:-

Gallop Thru Time began as a hobby, operating from home in a small workshop converted from a carport. Operation commenced November 1994, as a cottage industry but as business grew quickly, life in the small area was getting a little crowded with stock etc.

Because we could see the demand for this in the market we decided to move into the CBD of Katherine, and to date, the business is still operating as a framing shop and gallery, supporting a huge range of aboriginal art.

We frame tapestries, cross stitch, long stitch, embroideries, Aboriginal art, photos, certificates, badges, paper toles, mirrors, flags, sporting memorabilia and all other types of work. We also construct frames using recycled timbers and make mirrors to order.

Some examples of unusual items framed here are: knives, cricket bats, football jumpers and more.

Art pieces by the following artists are available for purchase:

Barney Ellega, Ningura Napurrula, Amy Johnson, Gillian Daniels, Adriana Robinson, Kenneth Wark, Brett White, Bonnie Stephens, Gillian Banks, Sonya Hart, Kathleen Donald, Jan (Milner) Cole and many more.
