Darwin Barra Fishing Tours
The Barramundi is arguably Australias most famous fish and the Northern Territory equally arguably is the best place in Australia for someone to catch their first Barra and that first Barra could be huge, that’s one of the appeals of Barra fishing.
The Northern Territory however is not only just the best place to catch a Barra, the NT and the waters around Darwin are also the home to exceptional Blue Water fishing but you do have to know where, how and when to go to be successful and importantly to be safe. That’s were we come in, let us help you experience the best fishing of your life.
If its chasing Barra in Territory billabongs and tidal rivers, or the thrill of catching Black Jew Fish, Golden Snapper & Spanish Mackerel (to name only a few) on an offshore reef, we now have a tour to suit your fishing needs. Hey, why not make an extended Barra Fishing Tour at our remote camp that combines the ultimate of both fishing worlds.
Our web site details all the tours we offer after Barra and other equally spectacular tropical species as well as information on the equipment we use. Darwin Harbour Cruises
We have been operating cruises on Darwin Harbour for ten years, which makes us the longest running operators in the Top End cruising business.
We founded Darwin Pearl Lugger Cruises in 1996 and expanded the business in 1999 with the purchase of our 19-metre sailing schooner “Tumlaren”.
For the past eight years we have entertained both visitors and locals with cruises from Breakfasts to Dinners, and Birthdays to Weddings.
In 2004 we again expanded our business with the purchase of the “Alfred Nobel”. She is a beautiful 28-metre Spotted Gum Schooner. She was built in Newcastle in 1951 and after an extensive refurbishment she has retired gracefully on Darwin Harbour giving Top End visitors & locals the opportunity to “Dine under the Sails and Stars” in true, seated comfort. This historic vessel is unlike anything previously offered on Darwin harbour.
She is able to seat 70 guests for Dinner and is in survey for up to 100 passengers for corporate or private functions.
To Book your Cruise, or find out more about privately chartering one of our beautiful vessels for your special function, please select from the links above. We look forward to having you on board !

Kakadu Air Services
Kakadu and neighbouring Arnhem Land is a vast panorama of changing landscapes, as varied as ancient sandstone plateau edged with dramatic escarpments, trapped waters form rivers and thrust a winding path seaward, flanked by billabongs, floodplains, forest and all things between.
Unfortunately, but logically Kakadu Highways avoid wet or rocky terrain, and the forest veils the sights we anticipated and expected to see.
A Kakadu Air scenic flight rises above it all, giving views that will forever change your perception of this timeless land.
Seasonal Conditions
Kakadu is treated to the tropical monsoons from December to March. The land is refreshed and revitalized.
There is so much to see we vary our flights to suit the seasons.
From January to May the 70 minute helicopter flight and 1 hour fixed wing flights explore the wilderness and waterfalls to the south, Jim Jim and Twin Falls are magnificent. These flights cease around May/June as the water falls dry.
All year the shorter flights and from June to December the longer flights view the spectacular variations to the land forms in the northern Kakadu and Arnhem Land areas. There are escarpments, outliers, amazing sandstone erosion, billabongs, rivers and floodplains. The longer the flight the better the sight.
Kakadu Air
Established 1981 is the Territory's longest established, most experienced, best equipped, best value, scenic flight company

Marksie's Stockman's Camp Tucker Night
Dine under the stars in the grounds of the Katherine Museum.
Watch the wallabies and hear the night life in the tranquil surroundings reminiscent of an outback stockman's camp.
Enjoy a camp tucker meal with damper and gum leaf billy tea.
Be entertained with Aussie humour; true and not so true yarns; the good, the bad and some a little bawdy.
Marksie learnt his bush skills in the Mallee from his grandfather who was trapping rabbits for a living. Fried, fricasseed, roasted, potted, steamed, cooked over coals on a shovel, any way you could think of, underground mutton was served.
Marksie's grandmother was so worried about the lack of variety in the family diet that once a month she cooked a camp oven full of ferret stew - to rid their system of the rabbit build up - a recipe which to this day remains a treasured family secret.
These tours run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays (April - October)

Mataranka Homestead Tourist Resort
The number of travellers (originally they had read the book and now they have seen the film) wanting to discover Jeannie Gunn's 'never-never' continues to increase. Mataranka Homestead Tourist Resort has cleverly exploited the lack of historical remnants by purchasing and rebuilding the replica of Elsey Homestead which was used in the 1982 film We of the Never-Never.
The whole notion of the 'never-never' was that it was somewhere which was impossibly distant. The most extreme area of the outback. A term which was synonymous with hardship and loneliness.
The image of the 'never-never' is that evoked by Henry Lawson in his poem 'The Never-Never Land' when he writes
Where lone Mount Desolation lies,
Mounts Dreadful and Despair -
'Tis lost beneath the rainless skies
In hopeless deserts there.
Sit back and relax in the beautiful natural thermal pools, have a hot meal and cold beer in the open aired eatery, and enjoy the live entertainment that we have on a regular basis.

Perrys on the Daly
Dick Perry's association with the Northern Territory's Fishing tourism dates back to the early 1980's. As part of a successful fishing tackle business (est.1976) and a marine dealership in Sydney, Dick developed PERRYS BARRAMUNDI FISHING SAFARIS'.
Perry's organized and conducted Coach Fishing Safaris to the Gulf, Northern Territory and Kimberleys to fish for barramundi and held one of the first commercial tour-operators license to fish for Barramundi in World Heritage Area, Kakadu N.T.
As a result of this long attachment to the NT and fishing tourism, "PERRY'S ON THE DALY P/L" was established. The opportunity to purchase 1000 acres right on the banks of the Daly River in 1993, was too good to miss as Dick and Carol had formed a love of the area and the "Mighty Daly River".
Facilities include:
Fishing Tackle and Gift Shop
Dinghy hire
Fishing Rod and Reel hire and repair service

Shady Camping and Caravan Sites

Most of our guides have been guiding for several years and are very enthusiastic about showing passengers the local wildlife. Willis's Walkabouts
Bushwalking, trekking, hiking, backpacking, tramping -- whatever you call our holidays, they are different. We begin where the four wheel drive tours stop.
On every trip, our experienced guides lead you off-trail into wonderful places where you enjoy Aboriginal rock-art, beautiful gorges, birdwatching, photography, wildflowers, waterfalls and superb campsites you share with no one but your walking companions. They are yours and yours alone because you walk to get there.
On all our trips, you carry a pack containing your food and equipment. You need reasonable fitness but our trips are not endurance tests. They get you away from the stress city life so you can relax and unwind in a way which would not be possible surrounded by the trappings of civilisation.
We take you to places where there are no phones, no cars, no people, no hassle – places where you can swim in clear, tropical pools, camp under the most amazing star show on earth, enjoy a three-course meal by the campfire and relax the evening away with a group of like-minded people.
Trips range from short walks of three or four days to six week expeditions. Some trips are relatively easy, others are relatively difficult. All offer plenty of time to relax, have a break and stop for a swim.

Arnhemlander Cultural & Heritage Tours
"The Arnhemlander" is a exceptional Aboriginal Cultural & Heritage four-wheel drive Tour into Arnhemland and Northern Kakadu. It is 100% owned and operated by the Traditional Aboriginal Land Owners of the areas visited by the tour. For this reason you will visit places inaccessible to most.
Arnhemland is Aboriginal land, a unique area where Aboriginal people live a lifestyle most closely linked to the true culture and heritage of their ancestors. Aboriginals have continuously lived in this region for many thousands of years - the same region that over time has seen the arrival of the early European explorers, the missionaries and more recently pastoralists, buffalo and crocodile hunters.
The Arnhemlander four-wheel drive day tour crosses the famous East Alligator River entering Arnhemland to visit Mikinj Valley, a superbly scenic area of sandstone outcrops and escarpment, forests, floodplains and billabongs. Mikinj Valley is where you will witness history depicted in the rock art sites of the Aboriginal occupation shelters that you visit. Gain knowledge of traditional land ownership, bush skills, hunting, food gathering and bush tucker preparation as well as view the region’s world famous Aboriginal rock art in it’s natural state without fences, barriers, and other tour groups.
Another highlight of the Arnhemlander four-wheel drive tour is a visit to Injalak Arts & Crafts Centre in the community of Gunbalanya where fine examples of Western Arnhemland art are available for purchase.
