Katherine Motel has been serving guests in the town of Katherine for over 40 years. Extensive upgrades have been carried out recently in 2022-2023 including premium four star quality bedding, linen and carpet replacement, paintworks, fixtures and amenities upgrades etc.
Located in the heart of Katherine, Northern Territory, Katherine Motel is the perfect place to stay if you want clean, comfortable, and relaxing accommodation that is not a minute from all the action. Katherine Motel is situated at 3 Giles Street in Katherine, just 30 meters away from the main street in Katherine. The Motel is within minutes’ walk of the Woolworths shopping complex, the Tourist Information Centre, Library, various businesses and government offices and most of the popular cafés. Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre, Katherine Hot Springs, the Golf Club, RSL Club, Sports ground and Swimming complex are nearby as well.

Cancellation Policy
i. If you cancel your booking the following charges will apply in relation to each booking: Off peak season (01Nov- 30April)
1. Up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled check-in time: No cancellation fees will be applied and any deposit you have paid for your booking will be returned.
2. Within 48 hours of your scheduled check-in time: a 100% cancellation fee will apply and you will be required to pay to Katherine Motel the full amount of your booking less any amount which you have already paid.
ii. If you cancel your booking in the peak season the following charges will apply in relation to each room you have booked: Peak Season (01May to 31 October)
a. Up to 7 days prior to your scheduled check-in time: No cancellation fee will be applied and any deposit you have paid for your booking will be returned.
b. Within 7 days of your scheduled check-in time: a 100% cancellation fee will apply and you will be required to pay to Katherine Motel the full amount of your booking fee less any amount which you have already paid.
iii. Any cancellation fees payable by you will be deducted from any money paid by you to Katherine Motel and if insufficient funds are available Katherine Motel may charge and you authorize Katherine Motel to charge the credit card the details of which you provided at the time of making your booking.
iv. Where applicable the balance of any money paid by you after any applicable cancellation fee has been deducted will be held by Katherine Motel as Booking Credit which may be applied to any future bookings you make with Katherine Motel.
v. Any surcharge applied to credit cards at the time payment for the booking is made will not be refunded.
vi. For Non-refundable Bookings- if you cancel your booking at any time after it is made no refund of the funds paid for your booking will be made
No Shows or Terminations:
i. If you do not show up for your booking or terminate your booking early after you have checked in you will be charged a 100% cancellation fee and will be required to pay to Katherine Motel the full amount of your booking less any amount which you have already paid.
ii. If you terminate your booking early and this results in your stay being less than 7 nights you will be charged the difference between the rate applied to your booking and the Best Available Rate on the Best Available Rate stayed nights.
iii. For long term booking for 4 weeks or more if you terminate your booking early and this results in your stay being less than 28 nights but more than 14 nights you will be charged the difference between the rate applied to your booking as daily rates for the stayed nights. You may also be charged for any welcome or complimentary pack.
Pet Policy:
i. Within the boundaries of the Katherine Motel all pets must be pre-approved by the incharge at the reception and an extra fee of $50 per pet per night to be paid before check-in.
ii. Only our STANDARD ROOMS are Pet friendly so we must be aware of the pet/s for the purpose of room allocation.
iii. For the safety of all guests pets are NOT PERMITTED OFF-LEASH within the property at any of the time.
iv. Pets are NOT PERMITTED in the POOL, LAUNDRY AND KITCHEN AREAS.
v. NON- DECLARATION OF PET will be charged for $500.
vi. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pet on motel property.
vii. Guests are responsible for all property damages and/or personal injuries resulting from their pet.
viii. KATHERINE MOTEL reserves the right to charge guest’s account commensurate to the cost of such damages.

Coming in from the South, turn right onto Giles Street at the first set of lights in Katherine town and you will see the entrance for Katherine Motel immediately on your right opposite Australia Post.
When arriving from Katherine Gorge, continue straight over the mini roundabout next to McDonalds/ Courthouse and the turning for Katherine Motel is clearly signed on your left.
