ACTIVE PHYSIOTHERAPY KATHERINE as well as BT PHYSIOTHERAPY Nambour, Bli Bli and Mudjimba on the Queensland Sunshine Coast is locally owned and directed by Dr. Uwe Schwiersch, DPT. and Angela Kargoscha B.Eco.
Dr. Uwe Schwiersch holds degrees in Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, as well as Education from universities in Australia, Germany, and the USA. He has lived and worked as a physiotherapist in leading capacities in Australia (NSW, NT, QLD), Germany, Iceland, Switzerland, as well as in Dubai (UAE). Most recently he has spend many years supporting the Australian Defence Force as a contract health practitioner at their RAAF Base at Tindal/NT. While mostly managing the business now he still is a keen “hands on” therapist utilising a variety of therapy techniques to improve a patient’s function and well being. He has supported elite athletes over the years in areas such as Latin American Ballroom Dancing (world champions), soccer, athletics, rugby, ice hockey among others.
Angela Kargoscha is a former athlete, having achieved German-, European- and World Champion titles in Latin American Dancing. Following her career as an athlete she gained extensive experience in her role as Executive Director in a globally operating company. She is raising two boys and managing all clinics on the in the NT and on the Sunshine Coast.
